This video is to demonstrate how to turn a kick into a bass using Ableton Lives Sampler. This tutorial utilizes a few other plugins including Overdrive, Saturator, PSP Vintage Warmer 2, Reverb and Compressor. This tutorial uses real world examples to demonstrate ideas to replicate a bass-line used in Swedish House Mafia’s “One” track… it also pushes the boundaries to explore new creative ideas to repurpose bass-lines using LFO Modulation. For the best listening experience please listen using a nice set of monitors or headphones as laptop or computer speakers may be unable to reproduce some of the sounds in this tutorial.
