Create a Custom Coin | Cinema 4D and After Effects Tutorial | FordeeTV
In this video I show you how to easily model a custom coin using text in Cinema 4D. You could use another type of Spline as well, it does not have to be text. After modeling the coin, I show you how to create selection tags so you can add different materials to different parts of the coin, we then light the coin using Light Kit Pro from GSG, however you can light it with Cinema 4D lights as well (I used Light Kit Pro to speed things up). We export the coin, open After Effects and add a few final touches, some glow, a text layer and a little retiming to finish things off.
