About
Voice Anonymizer works right inside Final Cut Pro, plus Logic Pro, Premiere Pro, Ableton Live, GarageBand, DaVinci Resolve, and more, letting you transform any voice in your project. Turn someone into a robot, an alien, a monster, or a deep trailer narrator with a single click. Push a voice through a telephone, an old radio, or a megaphone. It is the fun, plainly-named voice toolkit your editing and audio apps have been missing.
And when the point is hiding who is talking, the Anonymize feature does the heavy lifting. It disguises the voice from anyone listening while keeping every word clear, so the message lands and the voice behind it doesn't. Great for a guest who'd rather not be recognized, a faceless channel, or anyone who wants their words heard without their voice attached.
An Audio Unit (AU) and VST3 plugin. Works in Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Premiere Pro, Ableton Live, GarageBand, DaVinci Resolve, and other AU and VST3 apps on Mac.
macOS 13.5 (Ventura) or later · Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer), host app running natively (not in Rosetta) · Audio Unit (AU) & VST3 hosts
Walkthrough
The controls

What it does
One small set of controls, a stack of one-click voices, and a voice disguise built in.
Character voices
Robot, alien, monster, chipmunk, ghost, deep trailer narrator. One click and you are there. No filter-stacking, no guesswork.
Through a device
Run a voice through a telephone, an old radio, or a megaphone. The classic looks, done right and named in plain English.
Feminine and masculine leans
Nudge a voice more feminine or more masculine. Honest and characterful, not a fake swap that falls apart the second someone listens close.
Anonymize
The headline feature. Disguises who is talking from anyone listening, while keeping every word clear and easy to follow.
Dial it in
Start from a preset, then tweak it. Simple controls for pitch, character, grit, space, and mix when you want to go past the one-click sounds.
Common questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes, through the FxFactory app, and it's the real thing, not a crippled demo. Every feature works. The only catch: an audible watermark tone plays every so often so you know you're on the trial.
How do I buy it?
Through FxFactory. In the plugin, the pill in the top bar reads TRIAL · BUY. Click it and it opens Voice Anonymizer in FxFactory, where you can buy it.
What happens after I buy?
The pill flips to LICENSED and the watermark tone stops on its own. No license key to paste in, no relaunching your app.
Does Voice Anonymizer send my audio anywhere?
No. The plugin does its work right there on your Mac and makes no network connections of its own. Purchase and licensing are handled by the FxFactory app.
Why doesn't Voice Anonymizer show up in my app?
First, restart the app so it picks up the new plugin. Premiere Pro needs one more step: open its Audio Plug-In Manager, add the /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 folder if it isn't listed, and click Scan for Plug-Ins. Still missing? Voice Anonymizer runs natively on Apple Silicon only, so an app opened through Rosetta, like Ableton Live 10, can't see it. In Finder, select the app, choose Get Info, and untick Open using Rosetta, or update to a version made for Apple Silicon.
Will Anonymize fool voice analysis software?
It's built to fool people listening, not forensic voice analysis. It disguises who is talking to the ear while keeping the words clear. If someone's safety depends on nobody ever identifying them, a voice changer on its own isn't the tool for that job.
